Internet and landlines services in Marpi and San Roque were affected Saturday, Oct. 24, 2020, as a result of a cable cut made by Jaeda Construction, a Docomo Pacific subcontractor. IT&E crews were immediately dispatched to the scene to repair the damaged cables that delivered services to a few hundred customers. IT&E technicians were able to repair the cable and swiftly bring services back up in order minimize the inconvenience and impact to its customers.

IT&E would like to remind all contractors to call 611 prior to any excavation work so a technician can be present to identify buried cables. Also note, there are roadside signs that warn contractors where the buried cables are. (PR)
