As part of its ongoing commitment to expand educational opportunities in the CNMI, IT&E donated yesterday $3,000 and a Samsung Galaxy S7 smartphone to the Northern Marianas College Foundation.

The donation was made as part of the NMC Foundation’s 14th Annual Golf Tournament, which raises funds for educational programs and services.

“IT&E’s longstanding partnership with Northern Marianas College has helped many students reach their educational goals and we want to continue to strengthen our island’s only postsecondary school as much as we can,” said John Compton, IT&E’s chief operating officer. “We are excited to be supporting this year’s NMC Foundation Golf Tournament, as we do every year, and look forward to a successful event.”

“We are thankful for IT&E’s generous contribution,” said NMC president Dr. Carmen Fernandez. “The company has a strong record of supporting educational causes, and we are extremely appreciative of their commitment to our community.”

“IT&E’s donation will go a long way in helping NMC students,” said NMC Foundation president Mary Tenorio.

The 14th Annual NMC Foundation Open golf tournament will be held on Saturday, March 18, 2017, at the Saipan Laolao Bay Golf & Resort (east course). Show time is at 6am and the shotgun start will be at 7am. The tournament will follow a medal play format.
