IT&E, in partnership with the Commonwealth Council for Arts and Culture, is celebrating the resilience of the people of Saipan two years after Typhoon Soudelor by holding a free concert tonight at the Street Market in Garapan.

IT&E marketing manager Natasha Tomokane said, “Two years ago, Saipan was devastated when Typhoon Soudelor came. It was a hard time for the entire island. But through it all, we survived and IT&E knows how resilient the people are and we want to celebrate that.”

This is the first time that IT&E will hold a free concert that will highlight the CNMI’s own Sensi Roots and visiting bands from Guam like The John Dank Show. Other local performances include the Alana Ai Dance Group, Pacific Flower, Simiyan Marianas, Kontagious Mindz, Refaluwasch Warriors, and SMADS.

“The concert is free. The lineup of bands performing is so encouraging. We have a lot of good local talents and this is the night they can shine. We hope this will also amplify the Street Market,” Tomokane said.
