- GO GREEN CAMPAIGN RAFFLE WINNER Pacifica Insurance Underwriters, Inc. recently held a giveaway to promote its Pacifica GoGreen campaign to encourage the general community to make our planet our best friend and to build environmental stewardship for the protection of our environment. The giveaway was held earlier this year from April to July and gave its GoGreen members the opportunity to win its monthly raffle giveaway prizes. - CIP MEETING-Members from the Northern Marianas College Board of Regents’ Facilities Committee, chaired by Regent Michelle Sablan, recently met with NMC president Dr. Galvin Deleon Guerrero and other NMC staff to discuss ongoing capital improvement projects. Patrick Guerrero, the governor’s authorized representative, was also in attendance to share Federal Emergency Management Agency updates in assisting with the college’s Super Typhoon Yutu recovery efforts. - TRAFFIC LIGHTS PROJECT-Rain or shine, Filipino and Chinese workers of USA Fanter Corp. Ltd. apply the finishing touches Wednesday to the center island of the traffic lights project at the accident-prone intersection of Beach Road and Quartermaster Road in Chalan Laulau. Workers are expected to start by this week installing a new asphalt surface at the intersection. The $1.94-million project, which is funded by the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Federal Highway Administration, broke ground on June 10, 2021. (FERDIE DE LA TORRE)

- TURNKEY SOLUTIONS DONATES TO SBDC-Turnkey Solutions recently donated $1,000 to the CNMI Small Business Development Center’s SEED to Sail Program (Supporting Entrepreneurship and Economic Development). SEED to Sail is a guided experience for start-up and early stage businesses to create and present a pitch to support their application to receive “seed money” to fund their small business venture.
