- DOMESTIC VIOLENCE AWARENESS MONTH Gov. Ralph DLG Torres and Lt. Gov. Arnold I. - SMOKE ALARM CAMPAIGN: Teams from the American Red Cross-NMI Chapter, along with Department of Fire and Emergency Medical Services and Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting of the Commonwealth Ports Authority installed reportedly over a thousand smoke alarms in the homes of the public last Saturday, Oct. 9, 2021, as part of the annual Smoke Alarm Campaign. They also gave some public education about the smoke alarms and what they should do when the alarms go off. - MONSTER BOWL CHALLENGE Pho Tam hosted yesterday the first of what it bills as a recurring Monster Bowl Pho Tam Challenge, wherein contestants will be challenged to consume a gigantic bowl of Pho Tam special noodle soup within one hour. - CONGRATULATIONS! Adm. Herbert G. Hopwood Middle School celebrated National Custodian Day last Oct. 2 and presented gifts of appreciation to Mildred Ebuen and Fely Dela Cruz. National Custodian Day recognizes the hard work that it takes to keep our public facilities in tip-top shape as well as the people who diligently work to make sure we have schools and workplaces that are spotless and sanitary. - JGO HEARING House of Representatives Judiciary and Governmental Operations Committee chair Rep. Celina R. Babauta (D-Saipan) announces the committee’s decision Tuesday to allow Frances Dela Cruz, the governor’s executive assistant, to submit her testimony through a sworn affidavit.
