- CIRCUS ACT The Lady Diann Torres Foundation and Joeten Enterprises present the Super American Circus 2019 Saipan Shows, which will feature Montana DeBor, an aerialist on the Spanish web and a violinist, as shown here at one of the circus’ recent shows in Guam. DeBor was suited in a fitted Catwoman costume and joins other superheroes in this circus tour. Along with DeBor, spectators can expect other acts that include a stuntman on the “wheel of danger,” world famous tightrope walker Blake Wallenda, aerialists with fire and on silks, jugglers, comics, a rolla bolla pro, vocalists and a ringmaster. There will be seven 90-minute shows from Nov. 15 to 17. - SOLAR POWER PROJECT-Photo shows the ongoing solar power project at the Commonwealth Health Center’s parking lot. The Commonwealth Health Care Corp. and its contractor, Micronesia Renewable Energy Inc., initially expected the project to be completed by February 2020, but it is now expected to be done by January. - CASH FOR COLLEGEMore than 200 college-bound students participated in the Northern Marianas College’s recent Cash for College workshop on Saipan. NMC staff members and volunteers provided free, one-on-one financial aid assistance to new and current students. Registration for NMC’s spring 2020 semester is also currently ongoing.
