- THANKSGIVING PARTY: McDonald’s employees answer a question about food safety during the company’s celebration of Thanksgiving with their employees and their families on Saturday at the Minatchom Atdao in Susupe. - TREE LIGHTING RITES: Make-A-Wish Foundation Wish Kids gather at the Hyatt Regency Saipan lobby for the annual Christmas Tree Lighting in conjunction with the company’s 35th anniversary. - CAREER EXPLORATION: Eighty high school students participate in the Saipan Chamber of Commerce’s Career Exploration Day on Dec. 2, 105, opening the eyes of future workers to what lies ahead after high school graduation. (Daisy Demapan)
- BOH SUPPORTS FAMILY LITERACY: The Bank of Hawaii donated $10,000 to the Northern Marianas Humanities Council to support the council’s Motheread/Fatheread program. In addition to the normal program curricula, Motheread staff are partnering with Bank of Hawaii to offer a “financial literacy” component to provide participants with the basics of budgeting, credit, and banking.
