IPI welcomes new CEO, chairman

With the resignation of Mark Brown last December 2017, Imperial Pacific International welcomes a new chief executive officer and board chairman.

Effective last Jan. 10, 2018, IPI appointed Teng Sio I as chairman and effective last Aug. 1, 2017, appointed Henry Cheang as CEO of IPI.

In a statement from IPI, it said that Teng would be overseeing and supervising all Saipan operations, including its hotel, while Cheang would be overseeing and managing the operations of all gaming-related operations.

Teng, besides being IPI executive director, has over 12 years of human resource management experience; human resource knowledge in the gaming industry; and possesses extensive casino resort experience.

He is a former human resource executive of leading gaming industry corporations in Macau and was in charge of pre-opening mass recruitment for projects.

Cheang is a 12-year casino industry veteran who has connections with the opening of several gaming properties in Macau, including the Galaxy Macau, Crown Macau, and MGM Macau.

Cheang acted as the leader in planning and floor designs, financial and budgeting, operational system design, auditing, marketing and analyzing, training and operational management of staff in previous positions.
