IPI holds Thanksgiving, Tinian, school re-opening outreaches

The Corporate Social Responsibility office of Imperial Pacific International (CNMI) LLC continues to expand its outreach the past week, not just for typhoon relief but also for Thanksgiving and the resumption of public school classes, by partnering with government agencies, organizations and private companies.

From Nov. 21 to 23, Imperial Pacific, through its CSR, conducted its “Thanksgiving Meal Drive” in partnership with the CNMI government, the Friends of Ralph & Arnold, the Lady Diann Torres Foundation, Believers, Marianas Visitors Authority, Joeten Kiyu Public Library, Bridge Capital LLC, TanHoldings, J.C. Tenorio Enterprises Inc., MedPharm Group of Cos., Saipan Travel, U-Top Investment (Saipan) Inc., Saipan Ice & Water Co. Inc., and J.G. Sablan Ice & Water.

During this outreach, the company helped distribute some 600 meals in the southern villages of San Antonio, Chalan Kanoa, As Perdido, As Lito, Afetna, Koblerville and Dandan.

From Nov. 26 to 27, Imperial Pacific set out its CSR team to assist GTC Elementary School as it prepares for the resumption of classes after Super Typhoon Yutu temporarily halted school instruction. The CSR program of IPI helped in desk assembly and transport and setup of school equipment and supplies in the classrooms.

On Nov. 28, Imperial Pacific’s CSR team reached out to Tinian, assisting in the donation, preparation, and packing of various toiletries that were donated by Hyatt Regency Saipan and Fiesta Resort & Spa Saipan.

That same day, another CSR team of Imperial Pacific assisted government agencies, the Lady Diann Torres Foundation, and Federal Emergency Management Agency in distributing water, portable gas stoves, butanes, tarps, and diapers to typhoon-affected residents in San Vicente.

Kagman Elementary School received separate help from Imperial Pacific when its CSR team assisted the school in preparing for its re-opening on Nov. 29. (PR)
