Inauguration Day quantum jitters

Here are four poems written between Election Day 2016 and Inauguration Day 2017. There are two examples of a new type of poem, a combination of a limerick and a sonnet. I’m developing what is called a limeronnet. My new name for DJT is Trump E.R.Y. Trumpery means “worthless nonsense”, and E.R.Y. is short for Electoral Reigning Yahoo.

Some Limitations of Trump E.R.Y.

various chemicals in his yellow hair dye
entered his cranium where follicles lie
he’d be much better off if he let his head
go bald or turn silver and white instead
vanity won’t let him he’s “a smart guy”
 
when the serious gravity of his new job situation
puts Big Apple man in international locations
where he used to say ‘you’re fired’ or ‘big loser’
now he’ll be forced to be a diplomacy user
dealing with rulers of many foreign nations
 
as Trump E.R.Y. moves from the Tower to his new digs
his first move from business deals to political gigs
denial of facts and insulting  Intelligence has not moved
his personal deplorableness is now more than proved
he falls down lacking diplomatic gravity in his Newtonian jigs
 
The Russians are Coming, Don Keeps Dumbing

the Russians are coming! the Russians are coming!
Republican and Russian cyberspace is humming
news sources from various sectors of US Intelligence
POTUS elect says they’re not doing due diligence
as Trump E.R.Y. the Don keeps right on dumbing
 
now bombast and bluster is breaking down
his face seems to wear a permanent frown
and all the old Generals and  rich Wall St. men
can’t put Trumpty Dumpty back together again
gold toilets and faucets overflow threaten to drown

well now there is General do this and General do that
his Wall St. billionaires are all the ultimate ‘fat cats’
those recently nominated or appointed to his cabinet
Trump said HRC was in with them, let’s not forget
antithetical to First Amendment most alt right stats

The Dumbing Down of Democracy

hello democracy my old and trusted friend
our nation is in a crossroad situation
your staying power has not come to an end
but few can tell our current destination
it seems all the “Lock Her Up” demanders
have evolved their next campaign shout
as they understand speeches by Bernie Sanders
chanting now of Trump, “Throw him out, throw him out”
it seems the 1st and 2nd Amendments
are getting dumbed down by Don the Deplorable
lets follow our founding fathers and the 10 Commandments
and let the Supreme Court do the legal explorable
wouldn’t you like to read a “TRUE” news report
about Republicans and “9” members on the Supreme Court

Trump E.R.Y. Crap Hits Some Deplorable Fans
Readers should remember HRC listed the “basket of deplorables” as negative qualities associated with DJT, e.g., misogyny, racism, sexism, etc., not people as many claimed, but if the shoe fits wear it.
 
offending common sense and our eyes and ears

a Russian Red tide is on its way coming back
denied by Trump E.R.Y. every cyber attack
ceremonies of friendship are performed

some kind of comeuppance is at hand
those tough generals will make their stand
his cabinet of Wall St. billionaires lacks diversity
and not a single graduate from Trump University
yet Trump E.R.Y. continues more craps he’s shootin
more to come from his realpolitik pal Vladimir Putin
