Impeaching the Donald

National legislators have opted to impeach President Trump without constitutional legitimacy. It’s shallow politics over the stability of our country.

If the effort succeeds it would “corrupt the clarity of the intent to uphold democracy and safeguard the right of the people” to elect their representatives.

Sure, Democrats may not like Trump’s demeanor but it’s obvious the political agenda to trip him at all cost to prevent his re-election in 2020. But a constitutional process is in place to deal with this issue.

I’m not particularly enamored by Trump but he’s done a stellar job creating some seven million jobs that gave nearly the same number of people employment who wanted to regain pride earning their dues by working on meaningful occupations. Is success in favor of fellow countrymen a legitimate reason for impeachment? The last time jobs were available by the thousands was in 1939.

I looked into pertinent constitutional provisions on impeachment that says, “The President, Vice President and all civil Officers of the United States, shall be removed from Office on Impeachment for, Conviction of, Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors.

In the absence of actual violation of constitutional law how do you impose impeachment? It’s an unusually dangerous precedent!

Indeed, Democrats may employ inquiry and impeachment each of which has its own process and lengthy procedure. Its use as a political tool was the very reason the founding fathers had second thoughts of its inclusion in the national constitution. It’s good to revisit the genesis of this provision for historic clarity.

For governance to engage in tussles for the sake of upsetting the apple cart doesn’t benefit anybody at all. It’s an overkill!

Finally, Trump is in office placed in the WH by 63 percent of voters. His removal per the Democratic Party’s agenda is an attempt to usurp the voice of “we the people.” The precipitous legislative procedure isn’t “we the people.” You’ve lost rationality, humiliating!

But the Democrats moved the goal post in hopes of keeping the baseless narrative in the public domain. And they’re busy cooking in caves! They can’t figure out how the GOP has increased jobs, income, savings, and nationwide economic stability.

Nevertheless, by the time the suspect surgical review is done, over a billion dollars in taxpayers’ money would have been wasted chasing after a non-existent tall blond shadow.

Well, I may not like the Donald but he deserves credit for his grand performance on the U.S. economy. Employment has increased by over six million jobs while income has also gone up simultaneously. Trump improved the quality of life for our countrymen amidst the challenge of the times. Is this ground for impeachment?

Giving jobs to more than six million countrymen is a tough performance to match, especially by heavily divided Democrats. It’s not a conducive setting to rally behind helpful issues fellow countrymen hope to see hopefully soon.

Investments

As foreign and complicated a concept it may sound, it is basically new money brought to the NMI or one of the islands that generates money and jobs for residents.

The new business brings employment, more taxes including income tax its employees must remit to the local treasury. So it’s twofold: taxes and gainful employment. It creates wealth that sets the stage for a healthier and self-supporting island community. Families have the means of self-support.

At home, we work the clock attending to the needs of our children, especially their education. This is the most important investment we’ve made in our lifetime! We prepare our children to deal with their future on these isles, fully informed and poised to go on their own responsibly.

Laws

It is said that public policy is what actually runs a country. It covers laws on the economy, education, and health care, among others. It includes the manufacturing and production of human needs.

Here at home we export by importing tourism, thus our thriving mini-tourism industry. Everything else like farm and sea products is for domestic consumption.

A lot of our people are attached to the local government and some in private industries. That there’s no more room for government expansion means the focus should be investment in private industries.

While funds for small business development is available via various fund programs, I guess the biggest drawback is rooted in the culture of farming and fishing. We didn’t hail from a culture of entrepreneurship. But we have embraced it to hone in investments.
