Iakopo wins Peewee 1 Class

Conan Iakopo led from start to finish in the Peewee 1 Class of the Marianas Racing Association’s 2021 Point Series Race’s third round held last Sunday at the Cowtown Raceway Park in Marpi.

Iakopo, who just joined the series in the second leg held last month, has proven to be a tough competitor after taking the win in both heats to gain a perfect 50 points.

Despite just joining the series, Iakopo has already landed the Top 4 spot with an overall score of 94.

However, Zane Fujihara still remains in pole position with an overall score of 125 despite placing second in the third leg of the race earning him 40 points. Following Fujihara in the overall standings is Ezekiel Camacho who holds a score of 119.

Finishing third place in the third leg was Caleb Reyes with a score of 34 bringing his overall score to 86 placing him at No. 5 on the scoreboard.

In the Peewee 2 Class, Jonoah Santos continues to holds the top seat, retaining a perfect score of 150 throughout the entire series.

Santos held on to his win streak after placing first in both heats of the third round to gain him 50 points.

Keenon Togawa took second place in the third round of the series earning 44 points. Togawa also remains No. 3 in the overall standings with a score of 130.

T.J. Ferrer holds the No. 3 spot on the scoreboard with 78 points despite his absence in the second leg held last month. Ferrer also placed this in the third leg to gain 40 points.

Cherity Reyes, who came in during the second leg of the series, expanded her win streak in the Peewee ATV, topping foes in the first and second heat of the race last Sunday to gain 50 points. In just two races, Reyes has quickly climbed up the scoreboard and holds the No. 3 spot in the standings.

Brooklyn Susulin still sits at the top of the standings despite placing third in the third race last Sunday gaining 40 points. The additional 40 points puts her at 130. Skyler Togawa still tails Susulin in overall standings at 118 points after placing fourth last Sunday.

Keoni Rosario, who just joined the event last Sunday, kicked off the series on a high note. Rosario placed second during the third leg of the series earning him 44 points.
