Hyun wins CWGA’s September tourney

Son Hyun posted her first victory in the CNMI Women’s Golf Association after winning the club’s September ace last Saturday, Sept. 18, at the Coral Ocean Resort in Agingan.
She came away with a net 65 after shooting identical 40s in the front and back nines for a gross score of 80. Minus her 15 handicap, she came away with the winning net score of the day.
Eun Ae Chang settled for runner-up honors for the September tourney after she finished a stroke back of Hyun with a net score of 66. She fired a 43 in the front nine before finishing her day with a 41 in the back nine for a gross score of 84, which minus her 18 handicap, gave her the 66.
Su Jeong Yu completed the Top 3 for this month’s tournament after she carded a net score of 68. The 12-handicapper fired a superb 38 in the first nine holes before shooting a 42 in the last nine for a gross score of 80.
A total of 14 women took part in CWGA’s September tournament. The rest of the players, with their net scores in parenthesis, are as follows: Sae Hee Kim (74), Rose Rohinger (69), Yuko Togawa (71), Nirimai (73), Lorraine Babauta (73), Eun Ae Tang (73), Mio Kim (77), Terry Guerrero (77), Sherlyn Jones (79), Lou Kim (84), Kyunga Park (89).
