Hyatt Regency Saipan and Joeten Daidai Foundation are once again sponsoring this year’s staging of the Marianas March Against Cancer.
Hyatt donated over $1,000 as a major sponsor for the MMAC, while Joeten Daidai Foundation is a title sponsor, providing $2,000 in cash and $3,000 of in-kind donations.
Hyatt director for rooms Rosalyn Quintanilla said the company has been supporting the MMAC back when it was still called Relay for Life.
“We have been donating back in 1998. When MMAC came in we continued to help out,” Quintanilla said.
Hyatt food and beverage director Tyrell Pauling noted that they are still undecided whether to join as a team or just to help raise funds.
Joeten Daidai Foundation executive director Soledad Quan said that they would also be partnering up with Marianas High School as far as fundraising and activities go.
“For the actual event we will be partnering with MHS and hope to have the same turnout as last year,” Quan said.
She said they are happy to once again support MMAC. She also noted that MHS will put together a video production crew and that Rhythm N’ Harmony of MHS will be a part of the MMAC team-up with Joeten.
Manny Borja, 2014 MMAC overall committee chair, is grateful that Hyatt and Joeten are once again sponsors for this year’s event.
“Hyatt and Joeten have always been the biggest supporters of MMAC year after year. Once again we’re happy to have them back and we’re happy to have them onboard.”
This year’s MMAC title sponsors are Bank of Guam, Delta Air Lines, DFS Saipan, Ltd., GPPC, Island Apparel, IT&E, Joeten Daidai Foundation, Marianas Variety, Sorensen Media Group, and Take Care/FHP. Its major sponsors are Brabu Pharmacy, Docomo Pacific, First Hawaiian Bank, IP&E, McDonald’s of Saipan, Precision Medical Imaging, Saipan Mayor’s Office, Traders Insurance Co., Hyatt Regency Saipan, and Xerox Corp.
