Hyatt to host Hawaiian Luau
Hyatt Regency Saipan will celebrate the memory of Hawaii’s King Kamehameha this Friday, June 6, at the Kili Café and Terrace.
In honor of King Kamehameha, the Garapan landmark’s flagship restaurant will be hosting a Hawaiian Luau fit for a king.
Hyatt said guests will feast on popular and distinct Hawaiian dishes that’ll make them feel like they’ve sailed into the island of Aloha. The resort promised that Friday’s Hawaiian cuisine will be bold in taste and rich in culture.
Hawaiian Luau is priced at $48 per person and Club at the Hyatt members welcome. Price is inclusive of Hawaiian style cocktail, iced tea, beer, and wine. Hyatt said there will also be a complimentary Hawaiian cocktail.
In 1763, Hawaiian kahunas or priests foretold of the birth of an ali’i or chief slayer. Little did the kahunas know that this ali’i would one day become a monarch warrior who would unify the Hawaiian islands.
That November, a fiery light appeared in the sky just as the kahunas predicted, and the great Kamehameha was born. His contributions and accomplishments in the unification of the Hawaiian Islands are still remembered to this day.
