HR conference to feature DOL, EEOC, SHRM experts
The Society for Human Resource Management CNMI Chapter will be hosting an all-day conference on Aug. 14 at Hyatt Regency Saipan’s ballroom to discuss key issues impacting the workplace today.
Labor Secretary Vicky Benavente will present on ongoing discussions the CNMI Department of Labor has with U.S. Department of Labor regarding the Interim Final Rules, including job vacancy announcements and recruitment requirements and postings.
Glory Gervacio Saure, director of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission Honolulu office, will present on the “State of the EEOC,” including recent trends, agency updates and strategic priorities. Gervacio Saure will also present on the “Respectful Workplace” initiative and the agency’s perspectives on sexual harassment, #metoo, and workplace culture.
Dr. Milton J. Perkins, Ph.D., SHRM-SCP, SPHR, CPC, vice president of ActOne Government Solutions, will discuss employee engagement, managing HR risks, and responding to employee complaints.
SHRM NMI Chapter invites its members, HR and management staff, and the public to attend this conference on Aug. 14, from 8am to 5pm.
