ICE KEKE A COLD BAG IN TANAPAG

Aesha and B.J. chewed their ice keke fast
not just a thing from their childhood past
before they swallowed to direct it south
they crushed the cold ice in their mouth
they didn’t care how long it would last

Oscar and Clarissa ate their ice keke slow
didn’t want all that cold colored ice to go
they would squeeze it out of the plastic
swallow little by little not quite so drastic
sometimes two at a time thanks Uncle Joe

Tanya and Manet always took their time
they’d even crush it in the bag sometime
then swallow the slush at their own leisure
enjoying the all year round sweet pleasure
their favorite flavors were orange and lime

when ice kekes are gone its always nice
to switch over to snowcones or shave ice

HOT PEPPER SAUCE

so many depend upon
a hot pepper sauce
splashed without restraint
on some fried chicken

WHEN RIPE WATERMELON

when ripe watermelon bursts its rind
and juicy red flesh can be seen
all the fruits of summer come to mind
and watermelon is the queen
the crowning glory of every picnic
just what every BBQ needs
thump for ripeness to get the right pick
have fun spitting out all the seeds

FINADENE’ GIYA FIESTA

gayera agupa pupuenge
guaha bula finadene’ falak
para talonan yan tinola
guaha bula setbesa yan cola
