Hix congratulates Biden-Harris

NMI Democratic Party chair Nola K. Hix said yesterday they are confident that the Biden-Harris tandem is a presidency for all Americans and that they look forward to an excellent partnership with Delegate Gregorio Kilili C. Sablan (Ind-MP) in the next four years and beyond.
In his congratulatory message yesterday to Biden and Harris, Sablan said the largest ever voter turnout and the largest-ever popular vote for Biden and Harris confirm that democracy in American remains strong.
Hix congratulated the people of America for electing Biden and Harris in what she described as a historic time, both locally and nationally, where more women across the country are running and getting elected into office.
“We’ve just elected our first female vice president,” Hix said.
She said that, despite the challenges surrounding this pandemic, millions of people came out and participated in democracy by exercising their right to vote. She said it was quite a race and now that it’s over, the people must come together as a nation to heal what divides America.
“Similar to our NMI Democrats—regardless of party lines, we are a party of the people,” Hix said.
