Gentle to moderate trade winds will continue for the next several days and a high surf advisory remains in effect until 10am today, Tuesday.

According to the CNMI Homeland Security and Emergency Management, combined seas of 7 to 9 feet will gradually subside to between 5 and 7 feet by Thursday as a shear line weakens and north swell decreases.

Surf is expected to slowly subside and fall below hazardous levels today.

The public is being advised to avoid venturing near exposed reefs and beaches, especially those facing north, as rip currents will be life threatening. (HSEM)
