High surf advisory in effect

A high surf advisory is now in effect until 4pm today, Monday. According to the CNMI Homeland Security and Emergency Management, combined seas of 5 to 7 feet will fall to 4 to 6 feet today and 3 to 5 feet Tuesday. A nearby shear line will trigger a few showers and isolated thunderstorms at times in the next few days. Along north facing reefs, hazardous surf of 7 to 10 feet is expected to fall below hazardous levels today. (HSEM)
