High surf advisory cancelled

The high surf advisory for the CNMI has been cancelled.

According to the CNMI Homeland Security and Emergency Management, the long period west swell from Typhoon Neoguri has lowered enough to allow surf to decrease below hazardous levels. Expect surf to decrease to 5 to 7 feet today, Thursday.

The public and mariners are urged to continue to exercise caution along reef lines and beaches, especially along west facing shores as dangerous rip currents can still occur. (PR)
