Hertz and Triple J Motors are sponsoring the IT&E Northern Marianas Junior Championships set for May 15-22. It’s a tennis tournament in which 190 players from 29 countries compete to gain points and world rankings.

Hertz and Triple J Motors are happy to be contributors to this event, in which many junior tennis stars will be able to increase their chances of going to college. So far, three players are attending college on tennis scholarships.

“We are so excited to support an event that promotes healthy activity as well as helps our young people go to college,” Alex Camacho, general manager of Hertz, stated at the event. Both Triple J affiliated companies have been sponsors since 2014.

At this year’s tournament, the CNMI is represented by 14 players, two of which hold the No. 1 ranking in their age groups. Carol Lee, a local resident, is ranked in the top 700 tennis players in the world for the 16-and- under age bracket.
