Haunted house in Chalan Piao
ONE80 Productions will be hosting a haunted house event in Chalan Piao on Oct. 30 and 31. Under their management, an organization created by younger adults, the goal of the event is to draw as many participants as possible.
Ed Sikayun, spokesperson for ONE80 Productions, said, “We are not celebrating Halloween, let’s put things that way. …“We try to portray a scenario where once you die, it’s not the end of it. We’re talking about what happens to your soul after you lose your physical self.”
Sikayun also wanted to share his thoughts on why he chose to charge participants $2 for entry. “We were originally not going to charge the public to come. If it were up to us, we’d make it free. However, learning from experience, if something has no value, people will not come.”
He wishes to simply have as many people come to have a good scare and experience memories they will remember.
The event will take place in Chalan Piao, right across the Hopwood soccer field on Oct. 30 and 31. It will begin at 7pm and end around 10:30pm. Tickets are $2 each at the front door during the event. For more information, call Sikayun at (670) 287-5665. (Michael Santos)
