Hart is laid to rest in Guam

Guam Gov. Lou Leon Guerrero, Lt. Gov. Joshua Tenorio, and Lt. Col. Esther Aguigui, The Adjutant General of the Guam National Guard, honored U.S. Army Specialist Mickey Hart as her body was received by her family when she arrived in Guam last Friday afternoon.

Hart, originally from Dededo, Guam, was a light wheel mechanic stationed at Fort Bliss, Texas. She died from injuries sustained in a car accident.

“We extend our heartfelt condolences to the family of SPC Hart and thank her for her service to our island and our nation,” said Aguigui.

“We grieve for the family and friends of SPC Hart,“ said Leon Guerrero. “I pray for your comfort and healing during this time of mourning.”

A final viewing and was held yesterday, at Saint Anthony Church, in Tamuning. Immediately following the Mass, final funeral honors will be rendered to Hart, which will include a 21-gun salute in the early afternoon within the vicinity of the church. (PR)
