Player slots for Saturday’s 16th Annual HANMI Charity Classic Golf Tournament are going fast, with only 10 slots still available for player registration.

Players are invited to ensure their slot by registering at Laolao Bay Golf & Resort, Fiesta Resort & Spa Saipan, Hyatt Regency Saipan, Pacific Islands Club, Coral Ocean Golf Resort, or Mariana Country Club.

“For the last several years, the HANMI tournament has grown in popularity and has always sold out, so we encourage anyone interested in playing to do so early,” said tournament chair Takahiro Omori.

The tournament fee is $140; for an additional $30, players may also compete for optional play prizes, including accurate drive circle, nearest of the pin, and accurate drive line. A shotgun start will be held at 7am.

Island Training Solutions is among the latest companies to step forward as a sponsor for the tournament.

“Island Training Solutions is proud to support HAMNI’s annual golf tournament which helps provide funding for Northern Marianas Trades Institute, Crime Stoppers, Marianas Tourism Education Council, animal welfare and control programs, and more,” said ITS owner Jim Arenovski.

ITS is a full service training company providing staff development and compliance training to businesses and government agencies on Saipan Guam, and Palau since 2006. ITS is the regional partner and licensee for the American Hotel and Lodging Educational Institute. Arenovski is a certified hospitality trainer under AHLEI and a Gitomer licensed trainer for Jeffery Gitomer.

Saturday’s hole-in-prizes include cash, cars, hotel night stays, and others.

The awards banquet will be held on Saturday, June 24, at 6pm at Grandvrio Resort Saipan. (Saipan Tribune)
