Guam Museum director featured on ‘Your Humanities Half-Hour’
Guam Museum director Dominica Tolentino was the featured guest in yesterday’s “Your Humanities Half-Hour” radio program.
The Sen. Antonio M. Palomo Guam Museum & Educational Facility (or museum) is partially open, with its grand opening planned for March 2017. Within its walls and on its grounds, the stories of the past will come alive, and new imaginings and new stories will emerge.
The Guam museum reflects the diversity, creativity, and resilience of the people of Guam and the Northern Mariana Islands. It encourages people to engage in dialogue, to share multiple perspectives and experiences, and to debate issues that concern us all today.
Tolentino, who earned a master’s degree in anthropology from Georgetown University, previously served as the content editor for the online encyclopedia Guampedia and as a program officer with Humanities Guåhan. Yesterday, she discussed how the museum came into being and its plans for the future.
“Your Humanities Half-Hour,” which airs each Sunday from 2pmto 2:30pm on Power 99, is hosted by Catherine Perry Harris.
