About 200 soldiers and airmen from the Guam National Guard will be conducting a unit formation run around the beautiful village of Barrigada on Friday, Aug.15, beginning at 5.30am.

The Guam Guard members will run an approximate two-mile route within the village, starting and ending at the Barrigada Mayor’s office on Luayao Lane. The run will pass through Adacao Avenue, San Vicente Drive, As Chena Place, Nalao Place, Camacho Way (to Leyang), Captain Reyes Way (Aguon Store), Pinate Place, As Conejo Place and San Roque Drive.

The run is intended to showcase the Guam National Guard’s esprit de corps, pride, and the organization’s commitment to the community as well as kick off the San Vicente Fiesta this weekend.

Resident’s along the run route can expect to hear military cadence as soldiers and airmen pass through their neighborhood.

More unit formation runs are planned in other villages in the future.

Motorists are requested to drive slowly and proceed with caution as they drive around and through the village of Barrigada from 5am until 8am during the unit formation run this Friday. (PR)
