The Guam National Guard will be recognizing soldiers from the CNMI who returned from deployment in support of Operation Enduring Freedom during a ceremony today, July 2, at the Pedro P. Tenorio Multi-Purpose Center in Susupe, Saipan, starting at 10am.

The Freedom Salute ceremony honors the 16 soldiers from the CNMI who were deployed with the 1st-294th Infantry Regiment, also known as Task Force Guam.

The Freedom Salute Ceremony allows the community to honor the soldiers for their service to the islands and the nation. Spouses, family members and employers will also be recognized for the sacrifices they made during the deployment.

The public is invited to show their appreciation to the soldiers and their families. (PR)
