The event was highlighted by competitions called “Battle of the Brains” for preschoolers and “Team Feud” for elementary campers, which followed the format of a popular game show on television. In both contests different teams under time limit were challenged to answer questions using speed, intelligence, and correct strategy to win. Cheers and applause from parents fill the room each time their child gets to answer correctly. Cash prizes donated by supporters and friends were awarded to winners.
In between contests, audience was treated to special numbers performed by campers, which included dance interpretation and fashion modeling.
Parents and family members also enjoyed the day as they participated in the GMS’ version of the famous TV show “The Price is Right.” Winning teams brought home prize of assorted grocery items and some other goodies.
The culmination day for the second phase of the GMS 2014 Summer Camp was described as an exciting, heart-pounding, and fun filled experience by both the campers and parents alike. Positive feedbacks about the annual summer camp programs of Green Meadow School are making the school administration believe that the program will continue to be held every school summer break for years to come.
