Fil-Taga September tourney set on Sept. 18

The Fil-Taga Golf Association will hold its September Ace Tournament on Sept. 18 at the Kingfisher Golf Links. According to tournament director Nestor Siruelo, check-in time for the event is 11:30am with tee time set an hour later at 12:30pm at the Talafofo golf venue. Siruelo encouraged Fil-Taga members to visit their website at www.filtaga.com for more information and try its signup online feature. Established in 1993, Fil-Taga’s tournaments operate under a computer-controlled handicap system that creates parity among players in the A and B Flights. A Fil-Taga Ace of the Month champion is crowned monthly. Regular tournaments are scheduled once a month, normally every third Sunday. Green fees are in the $35 to $40 price range for most tournaments. (Fil-Taga)

CWGA September Ace tomorrow

The CNMI Women’s Golf Association is holding its September Ace Tournament tomorrow morning at Coral Ocean Point Golf Resort. Show time is set for 11:30am with a 12:30pm tee off. This is the fifth event of the season. Established in March 2007, CWGA is a nonprofit organization founded to promote, encourage, and introduce women to the sport of golf in the CNMI. CWGA members tally points in the monthly tournaments in order to qualify for their annual two-day championship tournament, which is usually held in April. SGA September Ace Sunday

The Saipan Golfers Association will hold its September Ace of the Month Tournament this Sunday, Sept. 11, at the Coral Ocean Point Golf Resort. Show time is set at 9am with a tee time at 10:30am. Groupings are arranged on a first-come, first-serve basis.(SGA)

RGA September Ace Sunday

The Refaluwasch Golf Association will be holding its September Ace tournament this Sunday at the Kingfisher Golf Links. Check-in time is at 11am, while tee off is at 12pm. There will be a potluck after the competition. Winner of the September Ace will qualify for the RGA Club Championship which will be played in December. (RGA)
