Gold’s Gym Saipan starts 2019 Challenge
Gold’s Gym Saipan launched its yearly 12 Week Challenge last Saturday, Jan. 19, and is encouraging members and the community alike to participate.
Tyce Mister, Gold’s Gym general manager, said anyone interested in making a change in their life is encouraged to participate.
He said although the 12-week countdown has begun, registration will be open until the middle of February. At stake in the 12 Week Challenge is $5,000 in cash and prizes. All CNMI residents are encouraged and eligible to participate.
“Hopefully the 2019 Challenge can serve as a catalyst for change into creating a healthy lifestyle for you and your family for the duration of the Challenge and even more important—beyond! The goal is a healthier you, healthier friends and family, and a healthier community,” said Mister.
For the small investment of only $75 ($25 discount for members), there are many benefits, including Saturday Challenge Bootcamp led by one of Gold’s Gym Saipan’s NASM-certified personal trainers Aaron Tomokane.
The Challenge BootCamp is a great place to meet others with a common goal of health and fitness.
“This is a transformation challenge and we want everyone to be safe,” said Tomokane. “We encourage body fat loss when necessary to be healthier, but we want to see lean body mass (muscle) either maintained or even increased as part of the transformation challenge.”
Entry even includes the awards banquet and valuable discounts. Gold’s Gym Saipan could not do this without some key team players and would like to thank the 2019 Challenge supporters: PHI Pharmacy, Michelob Ultra, Brabu Pharmacy & Wellness Center, and Saipan Apparel.
Last year’s 12 Week Challenge ended last April with Elizabeth Lebria and Shawna Brennfleck taking the top prizes.
Both maintained their weight or even lost weight, dropping body fat 1 percent and maintaining or even increasing their lean body mass. They will enjoy six-month gift certificates to Gold’s Gym.
