All members of a small group of sixth grader students from Green Meadow School garnered top forensic awards at the first National Junior Speech and Debate Competition held on Oct. 22, 2016 at Hopwood Middle School.
Despite their hectic schedules and school days crammed with academic and extracurricular activities, the sixth graders still managed to deliver outstanding results during this weekend event. It was their first time to compete at this middle school forensic competition. They were all filled with nervousness and apprehension as they saw the numbers of contestants and whom they will be competing against with. But then, with prayers and support of their parents, coach, and principal, they withstood these challenges.
