GMS’ Coloma advances to NJSDA nationals

Green Meadow School’s Rownel Jody Coloma will represent the CNMI in the national level of the National Junior Speech and Debate Association for 2016 in Salt Lake City, Utah after winning the humorous interpretation category. He actually finished runner-up but the first place winner opted to compete in original oratory.

Ashley Palacios also won silver in Chamorro Poetry, while five other GMS students advanced to the semifinals in the NJSDA Regionals held from Feb. 24 to 27 Hopwood Middle School and Mount Carmel School.

The five students who made the semis were Aljanah Manabat, Angeline Norcio, Rayven Daca, Lawrence Salamat, and Eonzen Dela Paz.
