Give the gift of golf this Father’s Day
The Northern Marianas College Foundation is encouraging those looking for the perfect gift for Father’s Day to consider paying for dad’s entry fee for the upcoming 10th Annual NMC Foundation Open golf tournament scheduled for Saturday, June 30, 2012.
“Whether he’s a serious golf player or plays golf as a hobby, this tournament offers dads and other players a great day of fun, as well as a lively golf competition,” said NMC Foundation president Ivan Quichocho.
The tournament will take place at the Saipan Laolao Bay Golf & Resort on the West Course with a shotgun start at 7am and will follow a medal play format.
There will be six separate flight categories: Championship, A, B, C, Seniors, and Ladies. The entrance fee is $95 per player.
Registration forms for the golf tournament can be downloaded from www.nmcnet.edu, or picked up at the Marianas Country Club, Saipan Country Club, Dandan Golf Range, Kingfisher Golf Links, and All Star Sporting Goods. Payments for the registration fee can be made at Laolao Bay Golf & Resort, Triple J Motors, and the NMC Cashier.
Tournament prizes for first place for each of the six flights include cash and roundtrip tickets to various destinations in the Pacific on United Airlines. Hole-in-one prizes include a 2012 Hyundai Accent donated by Triple J Motors.
“Golfers will also get the chance to win other prizes generously donated by many businesses in the community after the competition,” Quichocho added. Raffle prizes range from cellular phones to golfing supplies to a roundtrip ticket courtesy of United Airlines.
