GHD engineer achieves Certified Construction Manager certification
GHD, a global engineering, environmental and construction services company, congratulates Paul Baron in passing the Certified Construction Manager exam given by the Construction Management Certification Institute.
Out of 2,600 professionals holding the CCM certification, Barn is the only one currently working in the Marianas, based on the CMCI listing.
The CCM designation is highly regarded by clients and other industry professional in the U.S. mainland and other parts of the globe. It recognizes the ability to apply effective management techniques to the planning, design, and construction of a project from inception to completion, while controlling time, cost, and quality. Baron noted that “the CCM credential is also something that fits the region’s current needs due to the large casino, military and government construction projects that are ongoing and planning to start.”
The credential is recognized by the Construction Management Association of America as the worldwide “gold standard” in construction management. The CCM is also the only construction management certification accredited by the American national Standards Institute under the International Organization for Standardization’s ISO 17024 Standard.
Baron leads GHD’s team in the Marianas, which has been serving the region for more than 25 years, performing permitting, engineering design and construction management on a wide variety of projects.
He has extensive experiences in the Pacific, holding a Registered Professional Engineer status in Guam, the CNMI and Hawaii. Baron is also an Accredited Professional in Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design and a Certified Professional in Erosion & Sediment Control.
“GHD encourages its people to achieve professional accreditation in their disciplines. It reflects our commitment to offering clients leading edge technical capabilities in Guam and around the globe,” Baron said.
