GCA’s Kimura is selected as Questbridge scholar

Grace Christian Academy senior Miku Kimura has been awarded a full four-year scholarship to Wesleyan University in Connecticut as a Questbridge scholar.

“Honestly, I was not expecting to receive the honor of becoming a Questbridge finalist. However, I am thankful for this recognition, and this experience will surely assist me as I embark on my college journey,” Kimura said when asked about this latest accomplishment.

The Questbridge National College Match Scholarship is a national program that connects high achieving high school seniors with full scholarships to the nation’s top colleges/universities.

The National College Match is a highly competitive process drawing applications from impressive students across the country. As noted by Questbridge itself, “The qualifications of this year’s applicants were very strong.”  In 2021, out of over 16,500 applications, 6,312 students were selected as National College Match Finalists. This year’s Match Scholarship Recipients came from 49 states, as well as the territorities of American Samoa, Guam, the Northern Mariana Islands, and Puerto Rico.

GCA congratulates Kimura for being a Questbridge recipient. “Miku has worked hard over the years and is well-deserving of this honor. We look forward to all that God has ahead for her,” said GCA principal Beth Nunez.
