Grace Christian Academy held an open house last Aug. 12 at its Navy Hill campus. Old and new students accompanied by their parents and guardians were welcomed by GCA board chair Rev. Raymond Kinsella.

According to Kinsella, “Parents are the God-ordained educators of their children. Therefore, partnering with the home is vital in order to produce vibrant, confident, loving students who excel in their academic pursuits in commitment to Jesus Christ.”

GCA is also home to Grace Christian Assembly, which is affiliated with Assemblies of God. Both church and school are committed to giving a bible-based Christian education to the children enrolled.

For the past 30 years, GCA has equipped and trained many students. One example of how GCA could positively impact a young person’s life is through 2006 alumnus Roby Pamintuan, who is now employed as a physical education teacher and youth pastor at the school and the church, respectively.

Pamintuan said, “As a student of GCA from K4 to 8th grade, their biggest contribution to me was their diligent and successful efforts in laying the foundation of my core beliefs and values.”

Even though Pamintuan has been living in Canada for the past eight years, he felt compelled to move back to Saipan and serve as a faculty at GCA.

“I moved back to Saipan to serve as the youth pastor of GCA because of the unique opportunities that were offered to me to live out God’s calling and purpose for my life, as well as to equip myself for future ministry.”
