GCA Eagles soar in different competitions
Grace Christian Academy students from Kindergarten to 12th grade soared like their namesake school mascot, the eagle, in different competitions in October and November, showing excellent performance in forensic arts, theatre arts, and mathematics competitions.
GCA Kindergarten to 5th grades won several awards at the last monthly qualifying competition of Primary Grades Forensic Conference held on Nov. 13, making most of them eligible to compete in the regional competition in February.
GCA’s 6th-8th grade competitors also did well at the National Junior Speech & Debate Association contest, while the 9th-12th graders acquitted themselves well at the National Speech & Debate Association’s third monthly competition held last Nov. 16, making almost everyone in NJSDA qualified for the regional competition in February.
The GCA thespians also showcase their talents in theatre arts in the pre-regional rounds for both junior and senior thespians in the last monthly competitions.
GCA 8th graders won first place in the team results of the middle school Math Court competition held on Nov. 18, 2017, at Chacha Middle School. The GCA middle school and high school mathletes also won several awards and all of them are state round qualifiers, even though there are only few of them who competed for the first time in this school year’s monthly qualifying competition.
GCA thanks all parents, volunteer judges, and coaches, and especially the GCA competitors for doing the best they can.
