Garapan snatching incident

Crime Stoppers is seeking the public’s help for a robbery that occurred in Garapan.

On Tuesday night, July 25, 2017, at about 7:55pm, police responded to the Garapan Courtyard Apartment located on Coffee Tree Mall Street. Police learned from the victim, a 36-year-old Chinese female, that she was walking on the street near the apartment building, when a silver sedan drove by her.

The car’s male driver snatched her purse from her arm while the car was still moving. The car sped away, traveling north on Coffee Tree Mall Street. The suspect car made a right turn on Micro Beach road and disappeared around the corner, traveling east. The incident occurred quickly. The victim and eyewitnesses could only make out a male driver in the suspect’s car. Items stolen include a yellow purse containing an iPhone 6S and $20 cash.
