Garapan Elementary School children perform at Hyatt

It is the fourth Friday of December and on deck at the Hyatt Regency Saipan today will be the MY WAVE Club of Garapan Elementary School starting at 5:30pm. Hyatt host Christmas performances every Friday to help spread the Yuletide cheer to guests and members of the community.
According to teacher Evelyn Alarcon, the MY WAVE Club was formed 12 years ago under the supervision of Evelyn Alarcon and Elsie Johnson. “The club has produced a lot of talents that participated in different community events such as Christmas in the Marianas, Man’amko visits, beach cleanups, street waving, and many more,” she said.
“Garapan Elementary School’s MY WAVE members are composed of students from second to fifth grade. Regular club’s meetings are held weekly on Thursdays and Fridays. Mrs. Ronaleen Joy Yumul is one of the latest additions to the club as one of the coordinators,” she added.
MY WAVE Club’s repertoire will include a medley of old-time favorites such as Silent Night, Jingle Bell Rock, to name a few. The members of MY WAVE Club have also prepared a special dance number for the crowd.
