Gaiana-B treads lightly atop B-Flame Tree

Current Thursday B-Flame Tree frontrunner Gaiana-B of Bar Gaia was stunned by runner-up Chagi Sang, 5-10, in this week’s featured SEDA matchup held at D’Pirates Bar & Grill.
The loss chopped Gaiana-B’s lead over its rival to two games.
Other division leaders include Tueday B-League’s Sabalu Boys of D’Pirate’s Bar & Grill, Master Division’s IT&E Kamote’s of Es’y Kitchen, C-Division’s One Shot out of VFW Post 3457’s, and B-Fanihi’s Echoserong Kamote of Naked Fish Bar & Grill.
Gaiana-B took one on the chin this week, but still holds the best record in B-Flame Tree at 64-41.
In other B Flame Tree results, Joe’s Bar & Grill’s One Shot (56-49) posted a 10-5 on the road against sister-team Skorgazzzums (43-62); D’Pirate’s Lucky Shot (53-52) upset Naked Fish’s Na’Gupu (53-52), 8-7, at home; and D’Pirate’s Sabalu (58-47) slid into third place thanks to an 8-0 forfeit by caboose team Why Not (24-81), out of Oleai.
Chagi Sang’s Jun Manaloto scored a 138 High In and Skorgazzums’ Joel Tudela a 112 High Out in their respective matches.
On Tuesday, Sabalu Boys schooled sister-team Delubyo (62-43), 11-4, in a home match to improve its win-loss record to 84-21. Sabalu Boys have amassed a daunting 19-game lead over the 10-team B-league field.
Es’y’s/Kamote’s Shawarma Boys and D’Pirates’ Mixed Bloodshooters 2 are tied for second place with identical records of 65-40.
Shawarma Boys dropped Dosukebe Boys (45-60), 9-6, in a road match at Jonny’s, while Mixed-Blood 2 routed Team Ombre Za (44-61), 14-1, at Oleai.
In other results, Oleai’s Strike Force (47-58) brushed off sister-team K-1 Snickers (22-83), 11-4, in a home draw; and Oleai’s GCC Carpeters (59-46) bested VFW’s Assashunz (32-73), 12-3, on the road.
Ombre Za’s Ray Anthony Aguon posted a 160 High and Dosukebe’s Kento Togawa scored a 113 High Out in their respective matches.
On Wednesday, IT&E Kamote’s routed Jonny’s Azcals (39-80), 13-4, on the road to increase its lead in the Master’s Division to three games at 73-46.
Its sister-team, SOS Jokers, edged out third-ranked D’Pirates’ Destroyers (65-54), 8-7, at home to retain the runner-up spot; and Oleai’s Snipers (56-63) snuck past sister-team D’Companeros (54-65), 9-8, in a road draw.
Destroyers’ Sadiri Martin and D’Companeros’ Julius Monton posted 160 High Ins and SOS Jokers’ Jeff Barit marked a 155 High Out in their respective matches.
Also on Wednesday, One Shot defeated Joe’s I Like It (41-64), 11-4, at home to maintain a six-game lead in the C-Division. One Shot improved its card to 74-31.
Second-ranked Anie’s Imuza downed Bar Gaia’s Gaiana-C (32-73), 11-4, at home in Sand’s Bar to keep pace with the front runner.
D’Pirates’ Yosketeh Boys (67-38) gained some ground in third place with a 12-3 victory over Jonny’s Night Hawks (43-62).
In other results, the Oleai Sparks (56-49) was upset on the road by Naked Fish Bar & Grill’s Oh! MG (55-50), 7-8; and D’Pirates’ Lucky Shot (51-54) trampled Gaia’s World-C (38-67), 12-3, in an away match.
Yotsketeh’s Gil Gapor scored a 152 High In and Buddy Garote a 138 High Out.
In B-Fanhi play from Thursday, Echoserong outlasted third-ranked Es’y’s SOS Akiramenai (61-44), 8-7, at home to improve its lead atop the division to seven games with an overall card of 69-36.
Gaia’s World-B (62-43) suffered a 6-9 road upset to Jonny’s Sekid (40-65); VFW’s Dutty Gunz (59-46) gained some ground in the standings with a 10-5 road win over Es’y’s Kitchen Shooters (43-62); and Oleai’s No Fear (53-52) weathered sister-team Oh Yeah! (33-72), 8-7, in a home draw.
SOS’ Manny Blas shot a 160 High In and Dutty Gunz’s Norman Camacho posted a 129 High Out.
