Full schedule for 2 Japanese exchange students
The Rotary Club of Saipan has prepared a full schedule of activities for the two visiting Japanese exchange students. The two are from the Rotary Club of Tokyo Hachioji South and will be arriving at 3:05pm on Sunday, March 27, via Delta Air Lines.
Saipan Rotarians and Interact Club members of Kagman and Marianas high schools will welcome the students with a Happy Easter dinner at the Hyatt Regency Saipan.
Saipan Rotary president-elect Ivan Ilmov, director Sapuro Rayphand, Ken Kato, and Malou Malasarte are the working group that is tasked to take care of the two visiting students.
A tour around the island and nearby Managaha will officially start the itinerary of the two Japanese students on Monday.
After some games played at the Managaha beach, the Rotarians will then treat the two students to a sunset dinner cruise aboard the Jade Lady.
They will visit and spend the day at MHS on March 29 and 30, from 8am to 3pm, where they will participate with the day’s activities and schedule of the school along with the Interact Club. They will also watch the magic show at the Hyatt Regency Saipan SandCastle on March 30, Wednesday.
The two will then visit KHS on March 31 and April 1 where they would again participate in the school’s activities for the whole day from 8am to 3pm.
They will be part of KHS’ college preparatory program together with the Interact Club members on March 31. The following day, April 1, they will join the art class and participate in a Japanese language class.
After school, Rotarians and Interact members will have the two students experience a cultural show of traditional Chamorro dances and local food offered at the Thursday Street Market at the Garapan Fishing Base.
On April 1, they will get the chance of touring the underwater sea life of Saipan via the Deepstar Submarine.
They will spend their final day on Saipan, April 2, either by swimming at the water park or hiking to Bird Island Beach. They will leave Saipan Saturday at 3pm.
