The Northern Marianas Coalition Against Domestic & Sexual Violence will be hosting two free workshops on “Domestic Violence and Substance Abuse” facilitated by the National Network to End Domestic Violence on Sept. 13 and 14, 2018.

These workshops, which will be from 8:30am to 4:30pm at the Hyatt Regency Saipan on both days, aim to help participants explore and learn more about the connection between domestic violence and substance abuse as it relates to their work.

These workshops are open to individuals whose work is related to domestic violence and/or substance abuse. This includes but is not limited to police officers, victim advocates, social workers, counselors, shelter staff, and substance abuse recovery program staff.

Those interested may register to attend one session on either Sept. 13 or 14 through https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/DN86X5P. Note that registration is on a first-come, first-serve basis and will close when no seating is available or by 5pm on Sept. 6, 2018. There are no fees to attend a workshop.

The NMCADSV, which will be facilitating these workshops, is a nonprofit with over 25 years of experience in helping domestic violence survivors and those who serve them including providing training opportunities.
