Free webinars on federal contracting
The Guam Procurement Technical Assistance Center is offering free webinars this July 2023, on how to participate in federal contracting. Webinars are held every Thursday from 10am to 11:30am via Zoom. Zoom link emailed to registrants 30 minutes before the webinar.
- July 6, 2023 – SAM Registrations – Vendors need an active SAM registration to participate in Federal contracting. The Guam PTAC will take you through the new Entity Validation process, the actual SAM registration, and follow-up requirements. We will also discuss the new annual renewal process.
- July 13, 2023 – Federal Contract Opportunities – SAM.gov is the portal for Federal Contract Opportunities. The Guam PTAC will show you how to use the website to ensure you do not miss any opportunities. Opportunity types, search filters, and search strategies will be discussed.
- July 20, 2023 – SBA’s Dynamic Small Business Search – SBA’s Dynamic Small Business Search is a database of small businesses registered to sell their products/services to the federal government. Prime contractors, subcontractors, and government officials use the DSBS for market research. Small businesses use the DSBS to highlight their business strengths. The Guam PTAC will discuss strategies to best showcase your business in the DSBS.
- July 27, 2023 – Cybersecurity Requirements for DOD Contractors/Vendors – Department of Defense vendors need to protect some types of unclassified information. We will discuss DOD’s current requirements as well as the upcoming Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC 2.0).
