Free training on effective parenting

Brilliant Star School will be offering a “Parent Effectiveness Training” at no charge to anyone in the community interested in attending.

The training will be held on Feb. 4 from 6:30pm to 8pm at the Brilliant Star School located on Navy Hill.

The talk is appropriate for parents of all age children and will introduce the following skills:

How to talk to your children so that they will listen to you.

How to listen to your children so they feel genuinely understood.

How to resolve conflicts and problems in your family so that no one loses and problems stay solved.

How to know which skills to use when.

The presenter, Ganasini Iris, holds a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from State University of New York and a master’s degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of Oregon. For the past 19 years, she has been teaching independent study for homeschool kids grades K-8 and a parenting class titled “Creating Sacred Relationships with your Children.”
