Free Pesticide Safety Training set for Jan. 24

Syngenta Seeds, a subsidiary of Syngenta AG, will be hosting a free Pesticide Safety Training for people who plant (or want to plant) crops in the CNMI at the Northern Marianas College on Saipan, Tinian, and Rota on Jan. 24, 2020 from 9am to 1pm.

The hands-on, interactive Pesticide Safety Training will cover general pesticide safety, hazard communication, worker protection standard training elements, decontamination, personal protective equipment, pesticide application compliance, employer responsibilities, and rights.

The Pesticide Safety Training will also provide a grower compliance kit that will include visual aids and training tools to use with employees, sample compliance and training forms. This kit will be available in the following languages, English, Thai, Mandarin, Tagalog, Ilokano, and Korean.

The Pesticide Safety Training will be held at the Northern Marianas College on Saipan in building J-15 from 9am to 1pm, on Tinian in Room C from 9am to 1pm, and on Rota in Room A-1 from 9am to 1pm. Tinian and Rota will also be live streaming to Saipan.

Coffee, pastries, and lunch will also be provided at all three locations. RSVPs are appreciated for better food planning.
