Free Guam workshops on contracting with federal govt
The Guam Procurement Technical Assistance Center is offering free workshops to the public this month on contracting with the federal government. Workshops run from 9am to 10am at the University of Guam in the Jesus and Eugenia Leon Guerrero Business and Public Admin Building, Margarita Perez & Jaime Tuquero IT&E Lecture Hall, Room 131(unless otherwise specified):
Feb. 6: Applying for a DUNS number and registering in SAM – To sell your product or service to the federal government, you need to get a DUNS number and register in SAM. These registrations pose unique challenges to Guam/CNMI based businesses. Tips and solutions for these challenges will be discussed.
Feb. 13: Updating your SBA profile and navigating the Dynamic Small Business Search (DSBS) – Your SBA profile is a great marketing tool. The Guam PTAC will show you how to setup and update your profile. The DSBS is SBA’s database of small businesses. We will show you how to use it to help your company succeed in government contracting.
Feb. 20: Federal Contract Opportunities – FedBizOpps and NECO are gone. Beta.sam.gov is the new portal for federal contract opportunities. The Guam PTAC will show you how to set up an account and how to use the search filters to ensure you do not miss any opportunities.
Feb. 27: Developing a Capabilities Statement – A Capabilities Statement is an essential marketing tool for government contracting. The Guam PTAC will explain how to create a CS and what information should be included to improve your chances of winning a government contract.
