Frances: Kim made sexual advances on me 4 times

Frances Quichocho testified yesterday in federal court that Jung Ja Kim, the businesswoman who is suing her and her husband, attorney Ramon K. Quichocho, for racketeering and other claims, made sexual advances on her four times.
Frances also denied Kim’s allegations of a threesome with Kim, and her husband, attorney Ramon K. Quichocho, on two occasions.

Frances also stated that she only made up the story about baby wipes that contained bloodstains found in their car so she could pick a fight with her husband, Ramon Quichocho.

Frances will continue her testimony today, Thursday. Before adjourning yesterday afternoon, attorney Colin Thompson, counsel for Kim, grilled Frances about several chats with Kim. Frances claimed that she pretended to be Ramon Quichocho in the chats because she suspected her husband of having an affair.

Frances said the first time Kim made a sexual advance on her was in May 2008 when she, her daughter, and Kim went on a trip to the U.S. mainland. During a visit to Las Vegas where they shared a room, she claims being awakened when Kim hugged her and began touching her breasts. She said she told Kim to stop. Frances said that Kim apologized and promised not do it again. Frances said she didn’t sleep well after that encounter.

After that incident, Frances said she became reserved and kept her distance from Kim but still considered her a friend.

When asked by her lawyer, Michael Dotts, if she told her husband about the incident, Frances said she didn’t because she felt embarrassed.

She said the second time was between July and August 2008 on Saipan when Kim called her to come to her office in San Jose because she had a headache. As she was massaging Kim’s forehead, Frances said that Kim touched her between the legs.

Frances said she told Kim that she left her husband, and daughter at a park to help her and that she should not do that. “I was so upset. I went back to the park,” she said.

The third encounter, Frances said, happened in their house in September 2008 when she had a severe migraine.

Frances said that Kim came inside the room where she was resting, got beside her on the bed, and again touched her breasts. She said she told Kim not do that because she had a headache. Kim reportedly said sorry and left the house.

Frances also recalled an incident in September 2008 when Kim and Dr. Larry Hocog went to Club Chicago and she and Ramon Quichocho followed them. At the club, Frances said she saw Kim kissing one of the dancers and that Kim later disappeared with the dancer.

In latter part of September 2008, she said, Kim began telling her not to trust men in general, but a month later began urging Frances not to trust her husband.

Frances said she started to doubt her husband after Kim told her that he was having an affair. “I didn’t see any indication that Ray was having an affair. But I got suspicious,” she said.

The last straw, Frances said, was on Jan. 24, 2009, when she and Kim were shopping in Guam. Frances said that Kim came to her bed, hugged her from behind, and began kissing her nape.

Frances said she freaked out because she thought that Kim’s prior sexual advances had already been forgotten. “It made me so mad. I told her you cannot do that to me. I told her we’re just friends,” she said, adding that she got so scared she went outside the hotel room for some fresh air.

Since that incident, Frances said she had avoided Kim.

During cross-examination, Thompson showed several chats with Kim in 2008, in which Frances claimed she pretended she was Ramon Quichocho.

“Yes it’s mine. This is what I did. These chats are all mine,” said Frances when Thompson showed her copies of chats in which the sender told Kim “I love you” several times.

Frances said her purpose was to find out if her husband was having an affair, as Kim kept telling her.

Thompson said that when Kim denied that Ramon was her boyfriend, Frances should have stopped deceiving Kim, whom she considered a friend and family member.

When asked why she had to pretend to be Ramon Quichocho instead of going straight to Kim, Frances replied that it’s different because it’s hard to ask a good friend direct questions.

Frances said that Ramon Quichocho never told her that he’s having an affair with Kim. She also stated that, except for Kim, nobody else told her that her husband was having an affair.

Kim earlier testified that Ramon Quichocho, her then counsel, raped her twice in 2008 while she was on medication due to depression and anxiety. She also alleged that she, Quichocho, and Frances twice had a threesome while she was drunk and under medication for depression and anxiety. Kim said the threesome was Frances’ idea.
