Frances Demapan joins OAG
Frances T. Demapan has joined the CNMI Office of the Attorney General as assistant attorney general.
In an announcement yesterday, it said that Demapan joins the prosecution team of the criminal division where she will serve as traffic prosecutor.
Demapan began her career as a research associate at the University of Hawaii at Manoa Environmental Law Program in 2013, and most recently served as law clerk for the U.S. District Court for the Northern Mariana Islands.
“We are excited to have Ms. Demapan join our team,” said Attorney General Edward Manibusan. “She will be a great asset and I firmly believe that she will be a valued resource for the people we serve.”
A graduate of the University of Hawaii at Manoa, Demapan earned her Juris Doctor from the William S. Richardson School of Law in 2015.
In 2010, Demapan obtained a bachelor’s degree from New York University where she majored in English and American Literature.
Demapan is admitted to practice law in the CNMI and Hawaii and holds memberships in various groups such as CNMI Bar Association, Hawaii Bar Association, Hawaii Women Lawyers, American Bar Association, and Marianas Young Professionals. (OAG)
