Gerry Hemley, production supervisor, Foremost Foods, Saipan, presents 200 cases of Foremost Reduced Fat Milk in quarts for the Aging Center to Rose Mondala, director, Senior Community Service Employment Program. (FOREMOST) Foremost, a leading food and beverage company in Micronesia, donated 800 cases of Reduced Fat Milk Quart, its best-selling milk product, to three nonprofit organizations on Saipan.

The Aging Center and the Commonwealth Health Center each received 200 cases of Reduced Fat Milk Quart while the Salvation Army got 400 cases.

Rose Mondala, director, Senior Community Service Employment Program said, “We’re very grateful when Foremost comes to the Aging Center. The man’amko are very happy that Foremost is thinking of us. With the economy being what it is today, we want to thank Foremost for its generosity.”

When Foremost delivered the 2,400 quarts of milk to the hospital cafeteria, Juanita R. Deleon Guerrero, food service supervisor at the Commonwealth Health Center, expressed her appreciation for the gift. “Thanks very much for the Foremost donation of milk. This will help our kitchen staff with food preparation.”

The Salvation Army, which operates Guma Yo’Ase, a soup kitchen that serves anywhere from 30 to 52 clients from 11am to 1pm each Saturday, received 4,800 quarts of Foremost Reduced Fat Milk.

Wayne Gillespie, the ministry leader of Salvation Army on Saipan said, “We are grateful for this generous donation of milk, which will provide much needed nutrition to many families and individuals on our island. Foremost has been a great supporter of our feeding programs with regular donations of milk, which is of great benefit to the people we serve. We can’t thank them enough.”

Glen D. Hunter, group business manager of Foremost Foods Saipan, shared that Foremost responds to the nutritional needs of the community by offering healthful food and beverage on the market.

“True to our slogan, ‘Part of your life,’ Foremost is committed to promoting good nutrition and a fit and healthy lifestyle through our products,” said Hunter. “We are encouraged by the positive response of the community to one of our healthier products, Foremost Reduced Fat Milk. Supporting nonprofit organizations through product donations is one of several ways that we give back to our community.”
